Terms & Conditions – City Today Couriers Limited

Welcome to d4ps logistics Couriers Limited! Below, you’ll find our terms and conditions designed to ensure a smooth and reliable courier experience for you. By using our services, you agree to these terms, so please take a moment to read through them.

1. Definitions

To keep things clear:

  • “Carrier” refers to d4ps logistics Couriers Limited (that’s us!).
  • “Customer” is you – whether you’re an individual, a business, or an organization using our services.
  • “Goods” includes any documents or tangible items you send through us.
  • “Territorial Limits” means our service covers the UK, including sea crossings to Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, and Ireland.

2. General Terms

  • Our courier services operate under these terms. If you have any concerns or require changes, please let us know in writing before using our services. Any exceptions must be approved in writing by a Director or General Manager.
  • Our team members and agents are not authorized to change these terms, so any agreements must be officially documented.
  • In the event of any inconsistency between our promotional materials and these terms, these terms take priority.

3. Service Details & Responsibilities

  • We are not a “common carrier,” which means we can refuse to transport certain items at our discretion.
  • We may subcontract services, meaning your parcel could be handled by one of our trusted partners.
  • You confirm that you either own the goods you’re sending or have permission to send them.
  • You must ensure that your items are properly packed, labeled, and meet all legal shipping requirements.
  • We do not accept prohibited items, including but not limited to weapons, ammunition, hazardous materials, illegal substances, industrial chemicals, or anything requiring special licenses. If such items are sent, you will be responsible for any damages, fines, or legal consequences.

4. Delivery & Handling

  • We determine the best route and method for delivering your goods. However, if we need to make changes for efficiency or safety reasons, we have the right to do so.
  • Our quotes are valid for seven days unless stated otherwise. Once a booking is confirmed, it becomes a binding agreement.
  • Delivery will be considered complete when we hand over the parcel to an appropriate recipient at the provided address. If no one is available, we may leave the parcel in a safe place or attempt redelivery.

5. Payment & Invoices

  • Invoices must be paid within 30 days of the issue date.
  • If an invoice is overdue by 45 days, all outstanding invoices become due immediately.
  • Late payments will incur interest and charges as per The Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

6. Liability & Limitations

We always strive for safe and timely deliveries, but certain situations are beyond our control. We are not responsible for delays or losses caused by:

  • Acts of God (extreme weather, power failures, fuel shortages).
  • War, riots, civil unrest, or strikes.
  • Customs clearance delays or legal restrictions.
  • Improper packaging, incorrect labeling, or recipient unavailability.

Loss or Damage Claims

  • Any issues with your delivery must be reported within 7 days of receipt. Claims must be fully documented within 28 days.
  • Our maximum liability is £10 per kilo (up to 100 kilos) or the actual value of the goods, whichever is lower.
  • We are not responsible for indirect losses (e.g., lost business opportunities, missed deadlines, or emotional distress).

7. Special Considerations for Certain Goods

  • We do not transport cash, jewelry, antiques, fragile items, or live animals unless explicitly agreed upon in writing.
  • If you’re exporting goods, you must provide the necessary customs documentation. Any penalties due to incorrect paperwork will be your responsibility.

8. Unclaimed & Undelivered Goods

  • If a package cannot be delivered and is unclaimed within 28 days, we reserve the right to sell or dispose of it without liability.

9. Governing Law

All agreements between you and City Today Couriers Limited are governed by English law, and any disputes will be settled in English courts.
